Who we are

Fortune-100 IT experience. Small-business focus.

We have sat in the Fortune 100 conference room and the truck cab. We build for the cab.

Precision IT Management was founded by Nick Lewis — whose résumé doesn't read like most software founders'. Across 15+ years in enterprise IT, he delivered white-glove support to some of the most demanding organizations in the country. He got his start at Pomeroy supporting Procter & Gamble, went on to the Berkshire Hathaway private-aviation companies NetJets and Executive Jet Management, and then helped manage P&G's global wireless mobility program at MOBI85,000+ lines across multiple countries, with the deployments, support, and company portal that kept it all organized. (MOBI was later acquired by Tangoe, an industry leader overseeing $40 billion in annual technology spend across 10 million connected devices.) His throughline never changed: organize operations, streamline workflows, and build the systems that keep companies running.

Then he traded the corporate world for a dump truck. Six years behind the wheel at a family-run trucking company, he watched it run hours, payroll, and billing entirely by hand — hours of manual work every week. So he built FleetPortal to fix it.

It worked — and it clicked: the small businesses he'd come to know, across trucking, excavation, and a dozen other trades, were all fighting the same chaos that enterprise tools had solved years ago. They did not need less software than the Fortune 100. They needed software that understood their work and cost what a small business can actually pay.

Precision IT Management brings that enterprise-grade approach to the businesses that never had access to it — practical, web-based software at small-business prices.

Why the truck matters

Six years of driving is not a charming detail on an about page; it is the reason the software fits. It is why the crew app assumes one hand and no signal, why the hours screen expects the rate to change mid-day, and why nothing important is buried three taps deep. Software for this work gets written by people who have never done it, and you can feel it in every screen.

How we work with customers

Small on purpose. Every customer runs a product we know inside out, with the owner on the other end of the email. When a product is not right for a business, we say so — a customer who should not have bought is worse for us than a customer we never signed.

Our bet: that a trade served properly by someone who has done the work beats a horizontal platform serving forty trades adequately. That is the whole method →
